Policarpa Salavarrieta

Policarpa Salavarrieta was a Colombian heroine and a key figure in the struggle for independence from Spanish colonial rule. Born in 1795 in the town of Guadas, Cundinamarca, she is celebrated for her bravery and intelligence, playing a crucial role as a spy for the revolutionary forces.
