Qaboos bin Said

Qaboos bin Said was the Sultan of Oman from 1970 until his death in 2020. He is credited with modernizing Oman and transforming it into a more open and prosperous country, focusing on education, infrastructure, and healthcare. His reign was marked by a policy of neutrality in foreign affairs, which allowed Oman to act as a mediator in regional conflicts. Sultan Qaboos maintained a unique relationship with Iran and played a pivotal role in facilitating conversations between the West and Tehran regarding nuclear issues.
