Radu Gyr

His work, particularly the poem 'Ridică-te, Gheorghe, ridică-te, Ioane!', led to severe political repercussions, including a death sentence that was later commuted to imprisonment. He was a significant figure in Romanian literature and political activism until his death in 1975.
