Rafaela Padilla

Rafaela Padilla was the wife of General Ignacio Zaragoza, known for her enduring love and support during her husband's military campaigns. Born in 1836, she married Zaragoza in 1857 but faced a tumultuous life marred by war and separation. Rafaela passed away in 1862, shortly before Zaragoza's triumph at the Battle of Puebla, leaving behind a legacy intertwined with her husband's heroic deeds. Her remains were later united with his in a monument, symbolizing their eternal bond.
