Rino Fisichella
Rino Fisichella is an Italian cardinal of the Catholic Church and the current president of the Pontifical Council for Promoting New Evangelization. Appointed by Pope Benedict XVI in 2010, Fisichella has been influential in promoting evangelization efforts within the Church, particularly in the context of the New Evangelization initiative aimed at re-engaging lapsed Catholics and youth. Recently, he was in the news as he was delegated by Pope Francis to lead a Sunday mass following the Pope's hospitalization due to a complex polimicrobial infection, highlighting his significant role within the Vatican during the Pope's absence.
