
Robert Motherwell
Robert Motherwell (1915-1991) was an influential American painter, printmaker, and one of the leading figures of the Abstract Expressionist movement. Known for his large-scale works and innovative use of color and form, Motherwell's art often explored themes of existentialism and the human condition. He was married to fellow artist Helen Frankenthaler, and their relationship significantly influenced both of their artistic careers.
