Roger Bastide

Roger Bastide (1898-1974) was a renowned French sociologist and anthropologist who became a significant figure in Brazilian academia. He was invited to teach at the University of São Paulo, contributing to the intellectual landscape in Brazil and influencing the development of social sciences in the country, particularly during his time in Brazil following his exile from France.
