Roger Davis
Roger Davis served as the United States Ambassador to Cyprus during a tumultuous period in 1974. He is infamously known as the only American diplomat to have been assassinated within an embassy, killed during an anti-American demonstration in Nicosia. His death, along with that of embassy employee Antouaneta Varnava, occurred amidst the chaos of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus.
