Rolando Federico Gómez Quinde

criminal Ecuador

Rolando Federico Gómez Quinde, also known as alias 'Fede', is a suspected leader of a criminal group called Los Águilas. He was initially captured in January 2024 in Daule following a police operation that led to the arrest of 34 individuals at a party. Despite his criminal history dating back to 2013, which includes offenses such as illegal possession of firearms, robbery, murder, and drug trafficking, he was released due to lack of evidence tying him to any crime at that time. However, he was apprehended again later in January 2024, where authorities discovered a stash of drugs and weapons at his residence. His recent escape from custody has prompted calls for the arrest of personnel allegedly involved in his escape, as President Daniel Noboa emphasized the seriousness of the situation, describing it as an act of betrayal.
