Ronald Luis Guzmán, a 36-year-old educator with visual impairment, exemplifies determination and resilience in the face of adversity. Currently teaching Social Sciences and Computer Science at the pre-university level and as a graduate instructor at Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU), he aims to further his academic journey by pursuing a PhD in Philosophy of Education. Recently, he was recognized as one of 1,500 recipients of an international scholarship from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Mescyt), which brings him closer to his goal of enhancing curriculum and teaching methods to better support individuals with disabilities. Guzmán's journey serves as an inspiration, demonstrating that barriers can be overcome through education and perseverance.
