Rongjun

Rongjun is a 23-year-old Chinese young man who navigates the multicultural environment of Santa Coloma de Gramenet, Barcelona. Despite having learned Catalan in school, he finds himself using it infrequently in his daily life, primarily communicating in Spanish. He reflects on the challenges of language acquisition in a neighborhood where the social context favors other languages, highlighting the broader issues surrounding the integration and use of Catalan among immigrant populations.
