Rosa Maria de Oliveira Santiago

At 82 years old, Rosa Maria de Oliveira Santiago is one of the pioneering residents of the Cruzada São Sebastião, having moved there at the age of 16. She recalls the challenging conditions of her childhood in the Praia do Pinto favela, where access to clean water was limited. Today, she appreciates the improved quality of life in the Cruzada, which she describes as a respectful community.
