Vera Lúcia da Costa Silva

Vera Lúcia da Costa Silva, an 80-year-old retired telephone operator, has lived in the Cruzada São Sebastião for 68 years since its inception. She fondly remembers the support and engagement of Dom Helder Câmara, who initiated the project to provide dignified housing for families displaced from the Praia do Pinto favela.
