Rosario de la Cruz

Rosario de la Cruz is a Dominican entrepreneur who owns a restaurant called Fogón de Chary in Barrio Obrero, Puerto Rico. After 20 years in the island, she has faced significant challenges due to recent immigration raids that have drastically reduced her customer base and forced her to cut operational hours and let go of staff. As a single mother, she also supports her children back in the Dominican Republic, and fears that deportation could sever her ties with them.
