Ru Xingzhi

Ru Xingzhi is recognized for his strategic leadership during the resistance against Japanese invasion in the Second Sino-Japanese War. His command of the Eighth Route Army's 11th Regiment was pivotal in the defense of the Dai Cu area, where a small group of soldiers managed to hold off a significantly larger enemy force for 18 days. This remarkable stand, characterized by resourcefulness and bravery, not only exemplified the spirit of the Chinese resistance but also earned his unit the honorary title of 'Heroic Dai Cu Company.' Ru’s actions during this critical moment in history are commemorated as a testament to the sacrifices made in the struggle for national sovereignty.
