Rubén del Pozo

Rubén del Pozo is the director of the Unidad de Ciencias de la Tierra at the Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas and serves as the president of the Consejo Directivo of the Asociación de Ingenieros de Minas, Metalurgistas y Geólogos de México. He recently made headlines by addressing the alarming safety concerns facing the mining community, particularly after the tragic murders of two miners, José Ángel Hernández Vélez and Ignacio Aurelio Salazar Flores, which marked a concerning escalation in violence affecting those outside of mining operations.
