Saloth Sar

Saloth Sar, more commonly known as Pol Pot, was a Cambodian revolutionary and politician who served as the leader of the Khmer Rouge from 1975 to 1979. Under his regime, Cambodia experienced one of the most brutal genocides in history, resulting in the deaths of an estimated 1.7 to 2.2 million people due to starvation, forced labor, and execution.
