Sambhaji Maharaj was the second Chhatrapati of the Maratha Empire, reigning from 1681 until his death in 1689. He was the son of the legendary Maratha king Shivaji Maharaj and is remembered for his bravery and leadership in battles against the Mughal Empire. His life and legacy continue to be celebrated in Indian history and culture.
