Sanyu

Sanyu was a Chinese painter who moved to Paris in 1921 and became known for his signature nudes characterized by a unique blend of Chinese artistic techniques and Western modernism. Despite struggling financially during his lifetime, he is now celebrated as a major figure in contemporary art, often referred to as the 'Chinese Matisse.'
