Sara Rosenberg

Sara Rosenberg was a Polish-born Israeli restaurateur who co-founded the iconic Kition restaurant in Tel Aviv, which has been serving traditional Eastern European cuisine for 81 years. Arriving in Israel in 1935, Sara's culinary skills were honed from a young age, and she became a central figure in the restaurant, preserving family recipes and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere that became a haven for Holocaust survivors and new immigrants. Her legacy continues through her family, who maintain the restaurant's longstanding traditions.
