Scott Howard Jenkins is a former sheriff of Culpeper County, Virginia, who gained notoriety after being convicted of multiple counts of bribery and fraud for accepting over $75,000 in bribes in exchange for appointing businessmen as auxiliary deputy sheriffs. In March 2023, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison, but was later pardoned by President Donald Trump, who claimed Jenkins was a victim of a corrupt judicial process.
