Sergej Udaljcov

Sergej Udaljcov is a prominent Russian opposition activist and leader of the Left Front movement, known for his vocal criticism of President Vladimir Putin. He gained national attention during the mass protests in Russia from 2011 to 2012, which arose in response to allegations of electoral fraud. Udaljcov has been a target of the Kremlin's crackdown on dissent, facing multiple arrests and convictions over the years. Most recently, he was sentenced to six years in prison for charges related to promoting terrorism, which he has described as fabricated. In response to his sentence, Udaljcov announced a hunger strike, continuing his fight against what he sees as unjust persecution by the Russian authorities.
