Sergey Fedotov

Sergey Fedotov is a Russian businessman and former head of the Russian Authors' Organization (RAO). He gained notoriety for his involvement in several legal controversies, including a conviction for embezzlement in 2020, which led to a five-year prison sentence for misappropriating 762 million rubles. In addition to his legal troubles, Fedotov is known for proposing a controversial 'internet tax' in collaboration with filmmaker Nikita Mikhalkov in 2014.
