Sergey Tixanovskiy
Sergey Tixanovskiy is a prominent Belarusian political figure and activist, known for his attempts to challenge the long-standing regime of President Alexander Lukashenko. He gained public attention through his YouTube channel 'Country to Live' which highlighted social issues in Belarus. Tixanovskiy was a presidential candidate in 2020 but was arrested prior to the elections, leading to widespread protests against the government. In December 2021, he was sentenced to 18 years in prison for organizing mass unrest. He was recently released as part of a diplomatic initiative involving the United States.
