Serhiy Demus

Serhiy Demus is the acting director of the Zhytomyr Multi-Profile Hospital in Ukraine. He recently garnered media attention when he was thrown into a garbage bin by protesters opposing the closure of the hospital's neurology department. The protest arose from concerns that the merger of the neurology and therapeutic departments would leave many patients without necessary medical care and result in job losses for healthcare workers.
