Shijun Tong

Dr. Shijun Tong is a prominent Chinese philosopher and author known for his contributions to the field of philosophy, particularly in relation to Chinese thought. He has written over ten philosophical books and has translated works of renowned philosopher Jürgen Habermas into Chinese. Currently serving as the rector of New York University in Shanghai, Dr. Tong is also a professor in the philosophy department at East China Normal University (ECNU). In October, he delivered lectures on Chinese philosophy, politics, culture, and contemporary history at the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Ljubljana.
