Shlomo Mansur

unknown Israel

Shlomo Mansur was an 86-year-old Israeli who was kidnapped by Hamas during a terrorist attack on October 7, 2023. Tragically, he died in captivity, as confirmed by his kibbutz, Kisufim, where he was a beloved member. Mansur had a remarkable life, having survived the Farhud pogrom in Iraq as a child before emigrating to Israel at the age of 13. He leaves behind a large family, including his wife, five siblings, five children, and twelve grandchildren. His death heightened concerns regarding other hostages taken by Hamas, as he was one of several individuals listed among those expected to be released during a ceasefire agreement.
