Siarhei Tichanouski

Siarhei Tichanouski is a Belarusian opposition figure and blogger who was a presidential candidate in the 2020 elections, where he aimed to challenge the rule of Alexander Lukashenko. After being arrested and sentenced to 18 years in prison, he became a symbol of the Belarusian democratic movement, with his wife, Swetlana Tichanowskaja, taking up his mantle as a leader of the opposition during his imprisonment.
