Sima Samar

Sima Samar is an Afghan human rights advocate and physician, best known for her commitment to improving women's rights and healthcare in Afghanistan. As the former chairperson of the Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission, she has been a prominent voice for democracy and human rights in her country and has co-authored the book 'Outspoken' with Canadian journalist Sally Armstrong.
