Dr. Simon Berrow is a prominent marine biologist and the co-founder of the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group (IWDG). He has dedicated his career to the study and conservation of cetaceans in Irish waters, advocating for the protection of these magnificent creatures as well as their habitats. Recently, he has been vocal about the impacts of overfishing on whale populations, particularly regarding the decline of sprat, a key food source for many whale species in Ireland.
