Sitaram Mandal

Sitaram Mandal is credited with pioneering the cybercrime industry in Jamtara, India. After leaving school, he learned the art of scamming while working in a mobile phone recharge shop in Mumbai. Upon returning to his village, he trained many young men in the methods of extracting sensitive bank information over the phone, thereby establishing a network of scammers that would exploit the growing reliance on digital banking in India.
