Snezhana Todorova

Snezhana Todorova is a prominent Bulgarian journalist and the chairperson of the Union of Bulgarian Journalists (SBJ). Known for her pro-Russian stance, she was awarded the Order of Friendship by Vladimir Putin in September 2025. Throughout her career, she has maintained a controversial reputation, having previously expressed concerns over the rise of fascism in her country. Todorova has also been linked to Bulgaria's State Security Services during the communist era, where she reportedly operated under the pseudonym 'Violeta.' Under her leadership, SBJ has continued to collaborate with Belarusian and Russian media outlets, particularly during significant political events such as the Belarusian protests in 2020.
