
Soong May-ling
Soong May-ling, also known as Madame Chiang Kai-shek, was a prominent Chinese political figure and the wife of Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek. She was known for her influential role in promoting Chinese nationalism and garnering international support during the Second Sino-Japanese War, including hosting a victory banquet for the Soviet pilots involved in the February 23, 1938 bombing of Taiwan.
