Ştefan Ciubotăraşu, born on March 21, 1910, in Lipovăţ, Vaslui County, was a prominent Romanian actor known for his extensive and varied performances on stage and screen. His acting career began in 1934, and he became celebrated for his portrayal of over 300 roles throughout his lifetime, earning him the nickname 'the actor of 300 roles.' He had notable appearances in films such as 'Pădurea spânzuraţilor' and 'Amintiri din copilărie.' Recognized for his contributions to the dramatic arts, he received numerous accolades, including the title of 'People's Artist' and the Order of Cultural Merit. Ciubotăraşu passed away on August 27, 1970, in Bucharest, and a commemorative coin was issued in 2010 to mark the centenary of his birth.
