Valentin Gheorghiu

Valentin Gheorghiu, born in Galați, Romania, was a distinguished pianist and composer who began playing at the age of five. He studied at the Bucharest Academy of Music and debuted at the Romanian Athenaeum at just 15 years old. Over his long career, he became a prominent figure in the music world, performing with prestigious orchestras and serving as a jury member in numerous international piano competitions. Gheorghiu was highly regarded by contemporaries like George Enescu and left a significant mark on Romanian music before passing away at the age of 95 on July 17, 2023.
