
Sultan Alparslan
Sultan Alparslan was the second sultan of the Seljuk Empire, reigning from 1063 until his death in 1072. He is best known for his significant military prowess, particularly during the Battle of Manzikert in 1071, which resulted in a decisive victory against the Byzantine Empire and paved the way for Turkish settlement in Anatolia.
