Sunny Jacobs
Sonia 'Sunny' Jacobs was a former US death row inmate who spent 16 years in prison after being wrongfully convicted for the murder of two police officers in 1976. She was acquitted in 1992 after new evidence emerged, and she later became an advocate for the abolition of the death penalty. Jacobs published a bestselling memoir titled 'Stolen Time' in 2008, chronicling her experiences on death row. Tragically, she was recently identified as one of the victims of a house fire in Connemara, Ireland.
