Süreyya Esfandiari-Bakhtiari was the wife of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the last Shah of Iran. Married in 1951, she faced immense pressure as a royal to produce a male heir, which ultimately led to their divorce after seven years. Her life was marked by tragedy and exile, and she passed away in 2001 in Paris.
