Suse Lowenstein

Suse Lowenstein is an artist and mother who became widely known for her poignant art installation, Dark Elegy, which memorializes the grief of mothers who lost children in the Pan Am Flight 103 bombing. Her son, Alexander, was among the 270 victims killed in the tragic 1988 terrorist attack over Lockerbie, Scotland. Through her art, Suse has transformed her profound sorrow into a powerful expression of loss and remembrance, inviting others to connect with the shared pain of losing a loved one.
