Svyatlana Tsikhanouskaya

Svyatlana Tsikhanouskaya is a prominent Belarusian opposition leader and former presidential candidate who gained international recognition after challenging Alexander Lukashenko in the disputed 2020 elections. Following the elections, which were widely criticized for being rigged, Tsikhanouskaya fled Belarus amid fears for her safety. She has since become a symbol of the pro-democracy movement in Belarus, advocating for human rights and political reform while rallying international support for the Belarusian opposition against the Lukashenko regime.
