Syrian Arab Army

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) is the ground forces component of the Syrian Armed Forces, established in 1946. It has been a central figure in the Syrian civil war, engaged in various conflicts against rebel groups and terrorist organizations. Recently, the SAA declared a state of alert in response to military movements by the Syrian Democratic Forces in eastern Aleppo.
