Syrian Democratic Forces

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) is a multi-ethnic alliance of militant groups, primarily composed of Kurdish fighters, that has played a key role in the fight against ISIS in Syria. The SDF has been in the news recently due to reported military build-ups in eastern Aleppo, prompting a response from the Syrian Arab Army.
