Taaha Sameru

Taaha Sameru is a board member at the Tawfiq Islamic Center in Minneapolis. A political refugee from Ethiopia, he has become an advocate for immigrant rights in Minnesota, recently sharing his experiences of facing xenophobia following inflammatory comments from President Trump about immigrants, including those of Somali descent.
