Tads Tums, a Lithuanian volunteer known by the nickname 'Milžinas' ('Giant'), was killed in combat in Ukraine on February 23, 2022, when a Russian drone strike hit the vehicle he was traveling in while transporting mines to the front lines near Bakhmut. His death marked a significant loss for the Lithuanian contingent fighting against the Russian invasion.
