Toms Valentēlis

Toms Valentēlis was a 20-year-old Lithuanian volunteer who tragically lost his life on March 13, 2023, during his first combat mission near Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine. He served in the International Legion of the Territorial Defense Forces of Ukraine for nearly six months, fighting alongside Ukrainian forces against the invading Russian army. His sacrifice is commemorated by Lithuanian President Gitans Nausėda, who emphasized the shared struggle for freedom between Ukraine and Lithuania.
