Tahina Booth

Tahina Booth is a former elite athlete and the founder of the Grass Skirt Project, which aims to combat gender-based violence in Papua New Guinea through sport-based programs. Having experienced trauma in her own life, Booth is dedicated to creating safe spaces for young people to discuss issues of violence and gender equality, with the ambitious goal of reaching one million young people by 2050.
