Teodor Bordeianu

Teodor Bordeianu was a distinguished Romanian agronomist born on February 16, 1902, in Basarabia. He made significant contributions to the field of pomology, leading to modernization in Romanian horticulture. After studying in Bucharest and Berlin, Bordeianu returned to Romania, where he became a key figure in agricultural research and education. His major work, 'Pomologia Republicii Socialiste România,' published in the 1960s, is considered one of the most comprehensive texts in its field. Bordeianu's legacy includes advancements in fruit cultivation and the training of future generations of horticulturists.
