Thaís Capovilla

Thaís Capovilla is a doctoral student in Scientific and Technological Policies at the University of Campinas (Unicamp), Brazil. She was set to pursue a sandwich doctorate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) but decided to withdraw due to concerns about the political climate in the United States that could jeopardize her research and personal safety. Her work focuses on scientific production in artificial intelligence, and she is now considering alternatives in Europe for her studies.
