Thomas Rolfe

Thomas Rolfe was the son of Pocahontas (Amonute) and her English husband John Rolfe. Born in Virginia, he became an important figure in colonial Virginia as he claimed his mother's ancestral lands and married into one of the founding families of the colony. His life reflects the blending of Native American and European cultures during the early colonial period.
