Wahunsenacah

Wahunsenacah, also known as Powhatan, was the paramount chief of the Powhatan Confederacy in Virginia during the early 17th century. He was a powerful leader who oversaw approximately 30 tribes and was instrumental in the initial interactions between Native Americans and English colonists. His daughter, Amonute (Pocahontas), became a notable figure in this historical narrative, representing the complexities of indigenous and colonial relations.
